Allison Kallaway Jewelry

Allison Kallaway is a talented metalsmith and jewelry designer that I got to meet in 2019 in New York City. We had a lovely time chatting about live in the Pacific Northwest, she’s from Montana and I’m in Washington! 

When she contacted me this summer to update her website she had three main goals. The new website had to be extremely easy to use for her customers, she wanted everything as streamlined as possible. She wanted a straightforward but thoughtful design that really highlighted her designs, and she wanted a design that was styled vertically for a better mobile experience and bigger images of her jewelry. 

With our signature package, Shopify Style + Set-Up, we design your website around the foundation of a Shopify theme, but we also customize the site with additional coding. This gives you the feel of a custom-designed website but keeps the price point more affordable. 

Allison had already chosen a new Shopify theme that she loved. She picked the Editions theme, for its super clean lines. It was missing a few things that we wanted to code in. For example, some themes come with more flexible design options for additional pages, but since this theme didn’t have one we created one for her. We also made some changes to the options for her homepage layout so that it worked better on mobile and with her vertical photos. 

When I asked Allison how things were going a few weeks after we launched her site, she said “It’s great! I love it.” So, I’d call that a success.
